Accessibility

Last updated July 22, 2026

We want FixMyContract to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. This statement explains where we stand and how to reach us.

01Our commitment

We are committed to making FixMyContract accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how we build the product, not a one-time checklist.

Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, and the European accessibility standard EN 301 549.

02Conformance status

Partially conformant

FixMyContract is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the standard. We are actively working to close the remaining gaps, listed below.

03What we've done

Accessibility features already in place include:

  • A “Skip to content” link on every page, so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
  • Live status announcements for dynamic states — the analysis progress, document-chat replies, and copy/error messages are announced to screen readers.
  • Form errors are linked to their fields programmatically, so assistive technology reads the problem with the input it belongs to.
  • Visible keyboard focus on interactive controls, with the default focus outline never removed.
  • Touch targets sized for comfortable tapping on mobile.
  • Reduced-motion support — animations are minimised when your system requests it.
  • Semantic landmarks, meaningful text alternatives for images and charts, and text colour contrast checked against AA thresholds.

04Known limitations

We know about the following gaps and are working to resolve them:

  • Screen-reader testing across every flow is still in progress; some interactions may not yet be fully optimised for all assistive technologies.
  • A dark theme is in development and has not yet been verified for contrast, so it is not enabled.

05Compatibility

FixMyContract is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers and modern screen readers. Older browser or assistive- technology combinations may have a reduced experience.

06Feedback & contact

We want to hear from you

If you run into an accessibility barrier, please tell us — your feedback directly shapes what we fix next. Email privacy@fixmycontract.com and describe the problem and the page it happened on. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

07How we assessed this

This statement is based on a self-evaluation of FixMyContract against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, carried out by our team. It was prepared on July 22, 2026 and will be reviewed again, with independent input, before public launch.
